I’ll be back at this springtime gathering of the tribe once more for my first show of 2017 with the Claire Lynch Band. I’m looking forward to being back with the gang, and excited to be playing songs from her Grammy nominated release, North by South. I’ll also be part of a Saturday afternoon set they’re calling “Reunion Jam” that includes old friends Bela Fleck, Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush, and Bryan Sutton, and others.
I’ll be headed back across the big pond to teach at the Sore Fingers Week camp in England April 17-21. I taught at this camp once before several years ago and am looking forward to being back with them.
Singer/songwriter Mike lives in my area but our paths had not crossed until I got a call to play on his CD a few months ago. He’s got a warm, folky voice, and some great songs. The band included the wonderful clawhammer banjo playing of Brad Kolodner (a member of Charm City Junction) and old friend, Danny knicely on guitar and mandolin.
